Winter Showers

It’s freezing cold outside, (and inside old Victorian houses for that matter).So just as I predicted, with no preparation we are thrown into the arms of a cold and shameless winter.

Rain, frost and snow already invade our hearts and cities. If it’s gonna be this cold, I want it to snow. At least it will be pretty for a short while.

As we leave our homes every morning, we see people covered in layers, gloves and hats to fool our bodies and pretend it’s not that cold. but the truth is, it’s cold. It’s the winter. It has arrived. After a glorious familiar Christmas and a relatively wild New Year, it comes the time when NO ONE has any money. January comes and boom! Hello overdraft!! Like if there’s a choice. Personally I can’t wait until next Thursday when I get paid and at least for a short while I have money again. then soon enough I have to pay rent, bills, travel fares… You know, this is the time to suck it up and be a grown up. Not by choice but by default.

Anyways that’s how it is and that’s how it goes. As January carries on very cold it goes by very quickly. I can’t wait for better days. Those better days are just about to start.

But when?

This I don’t know. In the meantime, I want the roads to be made of ice so that I can skate to work. It will be a fun workout. Hey at  least I got my own skates now. But this doesn’t happen in real life… Boo!! So the other option is to cycle to work. That is more realistic… I just need to sort myself… and my cute mayfair folding bike as well. Really.

It’s inevitable to see a change of mood in nature.
