Celebrating our Roots

On the 16th of August 2019, as a celebration of the Dominican Restoration Day, I was invited by the Dominican Embassy and the cultural organisation Dominicanos in Acción to discuss my book Yun Yun (pa’ la calor) at The Shard in London. The event was well-received, with ambassadors from all over the world, including their excellencies of Costa Rica, Colombia, Cyprus and Honduras, just to name a few. It was a beautiful evening in which we celebrated what it is to be Dominican with rum, snacks, music and a reading and discussion of my book.
